Mario Piché began his career as a tax specialist in 1989, before the introduction of the GST/HST and the QST. He became a partner in 1996.

Over the past 30 years, he built a solid reputation with clients, colleagues, and tax authorities alike.

Mario has distinguished himself over the years by his insatiable curiosity and perfectionism, which have led to substantial refunds for his clients.

During a general review at a client’s location, Mario discovered an item with payback potential. He and his colleagues analyzed and debated the idea. Nothing was left to chance to ensure success. A few years later, the Federal Court of Appeal rendered a favourable decision in the Commission scolaire des Chênes case. In addition to generating more than $50 million for Quebec and Ontario school boards, this case law subsequently influenced several court decisions.

Mario considers all files thoroughly. His attention to detail ensures that he always delivers impeccable work. He serves as a reference and a guide for younger tax professionals at Consultaxe.

Mario is passionate about the outdoors and about music. Whether by cycling or cross-country skiing, he likes to travel long distances to stay in shape.
